An upcoming adaptive, internet-based rehabilitation application
to help aphasic stroke patients to learn to speak again.

  • Naming treatment with adaptive cueing

  • Voice recognition technology

  • Testing of speech

  • Patient and public involvement

Patients are currently involved in the development of iTALK. A key issue is usability. We hope that patients will be able to master all aspects of iTALK on their own, but some patients may require help from friends, relatives or other advocates to get them going. As such, we will also be asking patients' advocates to 'road-test' all aspects of the application.
  • We also run a clinical service: Aphasia Lab
